We interviewed Mike Bell who was featured on the cover of Cycle News
40 years ago… The second round of the CMC/Can-Am Golden State MX
Series took place at Lake Madera, where Rick Johnson, Larry Wosick
and Rex Staten came away with the Expert-class wins… We tested
Kawasaki's latest woods weapon, the 1980 KDX175… Scot Harden was
dominating the local desert scene, his latest was the SNDR/MRAN Hare
Scrambles in Boulder City, Nevada. He also won the Moapa-To-Vegas
Hare & Hound.

Tim Hart was featured on the cover of Cycle News 50 years ago.
Hart was one of the stars at Fontana Raceway in California during the
CMC Hallman Trophy Series. Hart, Tom Rapp and Bill Urban were the
Expert-class winners… Bruce Dunford was the big winner at the SBVC
Hare Scrambles in Adelanto, California… Dick Mann and Gary Bailey
provided the entertainment at the European Motocross held at Dunlap
Cycle Park near Fresno, California. Bailey came out on top… We covered
the American Motorcycle Show in Chicago.
