Scott Burnworth's Santa Claus GP "S anta Claus" came early this year with lots of wet dirt for the good boys and girls at Vogt Ranch, who came out once again for Scott Burnworth's 12th Annual Santa Claus GP, Decem- ber 7. The annual event, which is more of a ride day than an actual race, had lots of rain leading up to it, leaving the Campo, Califor- nia venue with a nice chocolate- cake soak for a fun moto-holiday of riding and racing. Riders were treated to the two tracks on the Vogt property, the main track and the "off-road track" which doubles as a side x side course. Several races took place during a midday break on the off-road track, where "Santa Claus" made some guest appearances on Burn- worth's #8 Suzuki. Participants were also treated to a lunch buf- fet as well as a BBQ dinner and after party at the ranch house, courtesy of event sponsors Maxima, Dunlop, Thor/Hallman Racing, 100% and Heartland Meat Co. "We try to just have a fun ride day where you can get a lot of track time in so you're not waiting all day to race," Burnworth ex- plained. "We have a short period in the middle of the day we do some fun races because it seems like everyone wants to do that too but not wait around all day. It's a fun day, not just all about racing."
