Bolt Wins Poland SuperEnduro Opener
R
ockstar Energy Husqvarna's
Billy Bolt was the overall
winner at the opening round of
the 2019-2020 FIM SuperEn-
duro Championship in Krakow,
Poland, December 7.
In the traditional three-race
format, Bolt commandeered
bookend wins with 1-2-1 results
which was more than enough to
claim the overall victory, topping
home-country favorite Taddy
Blazusiak (Red Bull KTM), who
was runner-up, and Spain's
Alfredo Gomez (Rockstar Energy
Husqvarna), who filled out the
podium.
Blazusiak went 2-1-2 on the
night, while Gomez rallied for
three straight third-place fin-
ishes.
The win marked a major
comeback for Bolt who suffered
a serious leg injury that forced
him to miss the entire 2019
season. In fact, the injury was so
serious that there were concerns
that he might never be competi-
tive again.
Red Bull KTM's Jonny Walker
finished fourth overall in Poland
with fourth-place finishes in all
three races. Fifth overall went to
Russian Blake Gutzeit (KTM).
Defending champion Ameri-
can Colton Haaker of the U.S.-
based Rockstar Energy Husqvar-
na Team is not contending the
championship this season.
American Ty Cullins won the
Junior class overall for riders 23
years of age and under. The TM
rider, who has won the past two
AMA EnduroCross Junior Cham-
pionships for pro-class riders 21
and under, posted 1-2-3 moto
finishes in Poland.
Second overall went to Ger-
man rider Leon Hentschel with

Teodor Kabakchiev rounded out
