"It is time to recognize that we
have a 'New Malcolm' and that is none
other than Ryan Sipes."

Yamaha needs to get serious
about top speed… it's a neces-
sity now! Even to just equal the
rivals. So far, still about 7 km/h
down, but looking better, yes.

Congrats to the USA teams on
excellent results! And one other
item I'd like to mention. Years
ago we had Malcolm Smith
who excelled at every type of
event he entered, be it desert
racing, gold medals at the
ISDT, hill climbs, cross-country
racing, trials, on and on. It is
time to recognize that we have
a "New Malcolm" and that is
none other than Ryan Sipes.
Ryan apparently loves all types
of events and excels at each
one be it MX, flat track, ISDE
as well as cross-country riding.
This man deserves a special
medal.

Where the heck can we buy
those great (AMA) USA team
hats they are wearing? Hey
AMA: puh-lease make it avail-
able, add a few bucks (those
damn MotoGP hats are $45 at
COTA!) and let's start raising
money for ISDE 2020!

Lorenzo Retires
No matter anyone's opinion
of him, he is a five-time world
champion. Am I a Marquez fan?
Yes. Was I happy when Honda
signed Lorenzo? Yes. My
hope was to have a real battle
between two champions and a
thrilling season. Sorry it didn't
work out, Jorge. Good luck in
your future ventures.

We all feel back when injuries
end careers. [There's a] hidden
history of the record books
when champions are sidelined
before their time.

Thanks for waiting until after
joining Honda so people can't
ever say you were as fast as
MM.
