Eric Granado (Ene) 2. Bradley Smith (Ene) 3. Hector Garzo (Ene) restart saw new champion Dalla Porta take race-winners Arbolino, McPhee and Lopez out. Canet was second overall to Dalla Porta, 200-271. Ramirez (183) took over third from non-scorer Arbolino (175), with McPhee (156) fifth and Vietti (Rookie of the Year) sixth with 135 points. MotoE Italian Matteo Ferrari (Trentino Gresini Team) rode to a safe fifth in Sunday's second race to secure the first MotoE Cup, 11 points clear of Bradley Smith (One Energy). Both races were won by Brazil- ian Eric Granado (Avintia), while Smith was twice second, scrap- ping with Granado to the line on Sunday, but promoted by the dis- qualification of Hector Garzo (Tech 3) from race one, after losing out in a similar last corner scrap with him. Granado's two wins snitched third overall from Garzo by two points. CN field, and a cut from 23 to 15 laps, with action suspended while teen- age SKY VR46 KTM rider Dennis Foggia was treated in the middle of the track. He was reported conscious at the time, and news from his team was of a head injury, but "without complications." A possible cause was an oil leak from Aron Canet's KTM. Canet had fallen on the sighting lap, and the first start had already been delayed for a clean-up operation. Jaume Masia (Mugen KTM) had crashed out earlier, while Carlos Tatay, whose fall had triggered the collision, and Jeremy Alcoba were also unable to restart. Makar Yurchenko was also involved but could race, while Niccolo Antonelli made the restart, but pulled out after the sighting lap. The shortened restart, 25 min- utes later, was a thriller, and Garcia, in his 17th start, made it by inches with a final last-corner exchange with pole starter Andrea Migno (Mugen KTM), in his 100th race. Another sensation came from Xavier Artigas, a 16-year-old Spanish first-timer, on a Leopard Honda. Fresh from the European championship on the same track, Artigas set several fastest laps, led for several laps, and fought back past Tatsuki Suzuki (SIC58 Honda) for a debut podium. Another rookie, Filip Salac (Redox KTM), had closed up for a career-best fifth. Dropping out of touch by the end, Canet (Sterilgarda KTM) got back ahead of early leader Marcos Ramirez (Leopard Honda) for sixth. Another multi-bike crash in the Italian Matteo Ferrari (Trentino Gresini Team) is the first MotoE Champion.
