IN THE WIND P48 MV Agusta Unveils 2020 Rush 1000 T he MV Agusta Rush 1000 is the cafe streetfighter we didn't know we needed but now want. Muscular streetfighter meets cafe racer. This is how the MV Agusta Rush 1000 comes off and if the Brutale 1000 RR revealed earlier didn't quite do it for you, this stout machine might tick off a couple of boxes. Built off the same platform as the Brutale 1000 RR, the Rush is fitted with a bespoke SC- Project exhaust which routes into a dual-tipped can. Öhlins electronic suspension is front and rear, with Brembo Stylema calipers clamping down on a set of 320mm discs. And with the custom exhaust fitted, the Rush is claimed to make a whopping 209 horsepower, with 86 lb-ft of torque, while only weighing a claimed 408 pounds dry. MV Agusta says that the Rush 1000 pays homage to the drag racing scene but there are numerous elements that cross genres, truly making this bike a piece of art. Though there are a number of visual design cues that differ from the Brutale 1000RR, the Rush 1000's round LED head- light at the front stands out the most. The design team says it was inspired by the MV Agusta RVS number-one custom build that debuted a couple of years earlier. Carbon fiber is peppered everywhere on this bike includ- ing the rear-wheel cover, which hides a forged aluminum wheel that is mounted to the single- sided swingarm. Pricing and availability informa- tion from MV Agusta have been non-existent but you can bet dol- lars to donuts that the Rush 1000 will be limited and expensive.
