fifth over the line.
Rookie Sergio Garcia (EG
Honda) was a career-best sec-
ond, while a brilliant third went to
Spanish teenager Jaume Masia
(Mugen KTM). The Argentine
GP winner had a battery failure
on the sighting lap, but his team
managed to get him going, and
he started from the back of the
grid and carved his way to the
front group.
Albert Arenas (Gaviota KTM)
was a podium contender until
slipping off at the final hairpin.
Dalla Porta is untouchable
with 279 points. The battle for
second continues with Canet at
190 points, and Arbolino at 175
and Ramirez at 174. CN
big lead group was broken up on
the sixth of 17 laps when leader
Gabriel Rodrigo at the front fell.
Earlier leader Tatsuki Suzuki was
inches behind and also fell, and
Alonso Lopez then hit one of the
fallen bikes. Pole starter Marcos
Ramirez went onto the grass and
out of contention.
By the end, seven had got
together again, over the line in
less than 1.5 seconds.
Dalla Porta, enjoying better
top speed, had led over the line
every lap from the ninth to the
last, but over the last few laps,
rookie Celestino Vietti (SKY
VR46 KTM) was ahead many
times out only a coming-together
on the final lap dropping him to
Lorenzo Dalla
Porta rode like a
champion and took
his third straight
win in Moto3.
