Rookie Sergio Garcia (EG Honda) was a career-best sec- ond, while a brilliant third went to Spanish teenager Jaume Masia (Mugen KTM). The Argentine GP winner had a battery failure on the sighting lap, but his team managed to get him going, and he started from the back of the grid and carved his way to the front group. Albert Arenas (Gaviota KTM) was a podium contender until slipping off at the final hairpin. Dalla Porta is untouchable with 279 points. The battle for second continues with Canet at 190 points, and Arbolino at 175 and Ramirez at 174. CN big lead group was broken up on the sixth of 17 laps when leader Gabriel Rodrigo at the front fell. Earlier leader Tatsuki Suzuki was inches behind and also fell, and Alonso Lopez then hit one of the fallen bikes. Pole starter Marcos Ramirez went onto the grass and out of contention. By the end, seven had got together again, over the line in less than 1.5 seconds. Dalla Porta, enjoying better top speed, had led over the line every lap from the ninth to the last, but over the last few laps, rookie Celestino Vietti (SKY VR46 KTM) was ahead many times out only a coming-together on the final lap dropping him to Lorenzo Dalla Porta rode like a champion and took his third straight win in Moto3.
