OFF-ROAD
AMA ENDUROCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP
ROUND 3 / OCTOBER 26, 2019
FORD IDAHO CENTER / NAMPA, IDAHO
P76
fastest time on his SRT Offroad
Yamaha, and Hart was third fast-
est. Blazusiak and Beta USA-
backed Max Gerston rounded
out the top five.
Moto 1
Blazusiak took the Fox Holeshot
in the first moto of the night with
Haaker close behind. Haaker
stalked Blazusiak for the entire
race and made a last-lap pass to
take the win. Blazusiak felt that
German rider Tim Apolle held
him up in the closing stages of
the race, allowing Haaker to
close in, leaving Blazusiak very
frustrated at the finish. Gerston
rode a strong race to barely beat
out Hart at the finish line. Utah's
Nick Thompson had a great
finish to take fifth in the opening
moto on his KTM.
Moto 2
For moto two, the gate picks are
reversed from moto-one results
so this meant that Haaker and
Blazusiak would have the last
and second-to-last gate picks on
row two. Noah Kepple came out
of turn one with the lead ahead
of Ty Cullins on his TM. Haaker
and Blazusiak were midpack but
quickly moved through the field,
and Haaker passed Kepple in
the pro lane to take the lead
on lap four. Blazusiak was not
far behind and worked his way
to second place but could not
make a dent in Haaker's lead.
Hart had another strong moto
to finish third. Graffunder was
fourth and Gerston was fifth.
Moto 3
After winning the first two mo-
tos, Haaker just needed a third-
place finish in moto three to take
the overall and championship.
He made things easy on himself
by taking the Fox holeshot and
led a few laps before Blazu-
siak moved into the lead. From
there, Haaker just managed his
Haaker battled Taddy Blazusiak (111) for the 2019 title. Blazusiak
fought hard but came up a little short.
(Right) Trystan Hart finished out
the night on the podium.
