OFF-ROAD AMA ENDUROCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 3 / OCTOBER 26, 2019 FORD IDAHO CENTER / NAMPA, IDAHO P74 BY SEAN FINLEY PHOTOGRAPHY BY JACK JAXON T he final round of the 2019 AMA EnduroCross Champion- ship was a must-win situation for both Colton Haaker and Taddy Blazusiak. Haaker, the two-time and defending champion, won the opening round, while Blazusiak, the five-time champion, fired back to win round two in the short, three-round series. The two of them came into the Seat Concepts Boise EnduroCross finale separated by just two points. So whichever rider finished ahead of the other would take the title. With the three-moto format used in 2019, it was going to be a high- intensity evening for the champion- ship rivals and fans. Rockstar Energy Husqvarna-backed Haaker withstood the pressure to come out on top with 1-1-2 scores. Red Bull KTM's Blazu- siak kept the pressure on all night but ultimately finished second with 2-2-1 finishes. RPM KTM-backed Trystan Hart finished third overall in the race with 4-3-3 moto results. That was also enough to earn Hart third in the cham- pionship over a large group of closely matched riders. Hot Lap Haaker got the day started strong by topping the Seat Concepts Hot Lap.
