holeshot, then I just had to send
it through the sand section. The
next moto, I did about the same
thing."
Pennsylvania's Gavin Towers,
who just signed with Kawasaki
Team Green, finished a solid
second overall on the night with
a 2-3 score.
"This dirt isn't like what I'm
used to in Pennsylvania," Tow-
ers said. "I'm used to loamy dirt,
but this stuff is slippery. There
was a lot to get used to with

Evan Ferry, son of former fac-
tory star Tim Ferry. Evan Ferry
made a masterful start in the
first moto from the far outside.
He settled into the lead and ran
off with the win. He had to work
a little harder in the second
moto after starting off in sec-
ond, but he made a quick pass
and went on to win both motos.
"I was 0.4 off of Chance Hy-
mas [in qualifying], and I knew
exactly where I needed to make
up the time, which was in the
sand section," Ferry said. "So I

him make his American supercross
debut around the same time that
his brother, Hunter, does, in early
2020. "We'll see how my off-season
goes, and if it goes well, then I
suppose you may see me at the first
