Monster Energy Cup A great final race between teammates! Too bad we were missing the other top 10 riders in the sport. Great to see a couple of GP stars out there racing supercross, and doing well considering they don't race supercross in Europe. Brian Philippsen Man, great ride Malcolm [Stew- art]! It was great to see him so happy after his injury! And con- gratulations to AC too! But as cool as the track was, it was a stroke of luck that only a couple guys got carted off the track. They placed big steel objects like SUV's and towers and staircases and stuff all over the track in what could be con- sidered contact zones. Didn't Ricky crash into a boat once? And that boat wasn't nearly as close to the track as some of that stuff was Saturday night. The tracks are perilous and unforgiving as it is, we don't need to make them more treacherous. They were hitting fifth gear at 60 mph! At those speeds there should be suf- ficient run-off room so if a rider makes a mistake he doesn't hit metal stuff. Don't wait until it happens to change the rules. Howard Halterman This race reminds me of the NBA Slam Dunk competition, all the top guys competed early on then it lost its luster after a few years. The racing was good, and Friese, Stewart and Gajser kept it from being a two-man show the entire night, but it was missing five of the top racers (all Red Bull/Rockstar). I think the format needs to be updated. If Tomac would've won the first two motos then what's the incentive to beat him, especially for a teammate? They should drop the million payout and pay start money to attract top riders (AMA and MXGP). Make the event invitation only and pay the top five for each moto and bonus money for the overall. If they want to keep the current million payout then adapt the single-moto payout but a three-moto sweep ne- gates the moto payout. Ken Bateman The 2019 MEC opening ceremony sound levels were deafening. Up to 11 or maybe 14 on the one to 10 scale. A friend asked for ear plugs for the first time in 25 plus years of attend- ing races together. A former world champion said he had to cover his years as did various industry people I spoke with after the races. OSHA sound levels were definitely exceeded. Why sound test the motorcycles if the PA is louder than any of the races on the program? The worst part was the infants I saw with zero hearing protection. Michael Rigdon Dean Wilson Injured Keep your head up for a speedy recovery. You'll be back faster than ever. Cheers, my friend. David Bradley A Marquez Save I guess it pays to learn how to skate. Wiley Moody I watched this yesterday, and wow, indeed! Tops any of the saves his brother has done in GP. Bob Siebenhaar This guy must have rode CR500s before. Nathan Laswell That guy's gonna need new boots and fresh underwear. Gary Fackler
