IN THE WIND P38 Hill Joins Smartop/Bullfrog Spas/ MotoConcepts Honda J ustin Hill will ride for the Smartop/Bullfrog Spas/ MotoConcepts Honda Team in 2020, joining current team mem- bers Malcolm Stewart and Vince Friese. "Justin has championship speed and abilities and we are excited to have a rider of his caliber join the team," said team owner Mike Genova. "While Justin has had a couple of tough years; we believe that with hard work and commitment on his part, combined with our race- proven MCR Honda, he can be a top contender in 2020." "I'm really excited to be a part of the Smartop/Bullfrog Spas/ MotoConcepts Honda team," said Hill. "Change is good and working with this new group of guys is a breath of fresh air. The bike is amazing, and I am looking forward to racing to the top this coming season." "We are definitely excited about signing Hill," said team manager Tony Alessi. "Interest- ingly enough, he has ridden with us about six or seven times, and each and every time he has man- aged to turn in the fastest lap of the day. If he can build the fitness to maintain that pace throughout a race, he will be a winner for sure. His fitness program begins in November, and we are look- ing forward to enjoying a great season together." CN Justin Hill leaves the JGR Suzuki squad for the Smartop/Bullfrog Spas/ MotoConcepts Honda team. Nichols Sidelined With Injury C olt Nichols, of the Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha Team, revealed on social media that he suffered a shoulder injury while practicing a few weeks ago. The injury could delay his participation in the 2020 250SX East Supercross Championship, which gets under- way in Tampa, Florida, February 15. Nichols finished a career-best third in the 250SX West Championship earlier this year, and he also won the opening round of the series in Anaheim. He reported on Instagram: Well almost two weeks ago had a crash while practicing and popped my shoulder out of place. Did some damage to it but luckily @ocsportsdoc got me all fixed up. On the mend now and will do everything in my power to go racing come East Coast Supercross. CN Colt Nichols injured his shoulder recently while practicing and hopes to be fit for the opening round of the 250SX East Supercross Championship, which starts up in February.
