IIIMY OWN RACE:
It was strange to go backward—it
was different—but it was the same
for everyone, and I think it was good
to have a different racetrack every
me. And I want to thank HRC and
Honda America for having us here and
providing us with tes ng and suspen-
sion, and even the trucks here—the
hospitality is nice."

"You really can't replicate this racing
environment—this pace—at the test
track, so it's good to get out there, and
we were going for it," Eli Tomac said.
"It was a wild night, really. I was buried
on the start there in the first one, and
I cased the rhythm sec on really hard
when I brain-faded there, but I was
able to get up and by Vince [Friese]
to win it. Then in moto two, I went
up over the roller there and when I
landed, it was just a big highside, and
it kind of threw me over the bars. I got
through the bars pre y well, onto my
feet, and scrambled back, then went
into the Joker Lane earlier that me,
and that paid off in the end, passing
those three guys, so that I was ed
going into that final race. We [he and
Cianciarulo] had a pace going there,
and it was gnarly. We both had our
spots on the track, for sure, so I tried
to do something different because
we were both going so fast, but Adam
held that last lap together really well
and I couldn't get it done."
Cianciarulo's
450cc-class
career is off to a
great start.
