Triumph Unveils Street Triple RS 765
T
riumph has unveiled a
revamped Street Triple RS
765 for 2020. The Hinckley,
UK, manufacturer has given the
raucous little street bike a nice
jump in power of nine percent,
with the engine being developed
by Triumph's Moto2 test team in
Spain. Numbers claim 121 horse-
power and 58 lb-ft of torque from
the inline three-cylinder motor.
The engineers got this power
hike via a new exhaust cam and
re-machining the crank, clutch,
and balancer to reduce internal
friction and mass. There's also
a new exhaust pipe and shorter
gearbox ratios in first and sec-
ond gears to give it more pep
when you crack the throttle from
standstill. The clutch is also now
a slip and assist version.
Triumph is claiming a lithe 366
pounds dry. CN
