"I had high expectations for myself coming into this week- end," said Toth. "I know I'm com- ing back from injury, and I trust in the work I've been putting in, so I'm stoked to be up on the box. With Ben and I and Grant, we had the whole junior trophy team up there sweeping it. I'm excited for the next race and what's to come for ISDE." Having finished second at the previous two rounds, Ricky Russell was hoping to take that last leap to the final step of the "It seems like every time I had a good race going this year, just something would happen out of our hands, and I wouldn't finish the race," said Grant. "Now you can see when I finish the race I'm on the box and where I belong. It's been a while since I've been up here. I had a midpack start, and it took me a couple laps to get going, but there in the middle of the race, I put in a really good lap and was able to catch up to those guys and landed on the box." Toth rounded out the podium, which is perhaps a good sign for this year's U.S. ISDE effort since few different lines and tried get- ting close here and there. I'm just stoked to get my first overall win." Grant made an inspired run through the pack, going from just inside the top 10 on the first lap, to fourth with three laps to go. When Russell and Steward dropped out, Grant moved into second. The Tely Energy Racing KTM rider was happy to have a problem-free race, finally. Grant Baylor steadily worked his way to the front to take runner-up honors.
