IN THE WIND P48 RJ Hampshire is switching teams for the first time since turning pro in 2014. Hampshire To Rockstar Energy Husqvarna I t's official, RJ Hampshire is now a member of the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team. The Hampshire-to-Husqvarna rumor has been around for a while, but the Rockstar team had made it official. Hampshire signed a two-year deal with the team that will see him compete in both supercross and motocross. Hamphire has spent his entire professional racing career as a member of the Geico Honda team. He turned pro in 2014. "Big changes for me this offseason, which brings a lot of excitement and motivation," said Hampshire in a release from Husqvarna. "Everyone's been awesome and I'm very impressed with the Husqvarna FC 250, the bike seems to fit my riding style well and I am very thankful for this opportunity! The expecta- tions are high for myself and the team, we are looking forward to this fresh start!" CN Febvre To Kawasaki F ormer MXGP World Champion Roman Febvre has joined the Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team in MXGP after successful five years with Yamaha, which announced a few weeks earlier that the Frenchman would not be returning next year. Febvre, who is recovering from a broken leg suffered late in the MXGP Championship, re- cently signed a two-year agreement with the green team. Febvre said, "We turn to a new page but the book is still open and there is a new adventure on the horizon! I'm very happy with this choice; it's never easy to change after five years on the same team but I'm sure this is the best moment to do it. Everyone in the team is highly mo- tivated and I'm impatient to be with them and on the bike. As far as my injury is concerned it's taking a long time of course but everything is going as planned by the medical staff. I don't want to endanger any stage so I will be able to start testing in good conditions and to open this new chapter of my career on a good basis. The team is 100% behind me; they have a strong experience of racing and I'm sure we'll achieve great things together." Febvre joins teammate Clement Desalle who has been with the team for the last five years. CN Romain Febvre will compete in the 2020-2021 MXGP Championship on his new Kawasaki Racing Team.
