W
e will see both Brandon Hartranft and
Shane McElrath on new teams for 2020.
Hartranft, however, already made his debut
as a new member of the Troy Lee Designs/Red
Bull KTM Team at the Red Bull Straight Rhythm,
where he met (but was defeated by) Ken Roczen in the final on his
new KTM ride. Hartranft turned pro in 2018 and has ridden for the
Cycle Trader/Rock River Yamaha Team before his recent switch to
the TLD team. He finished sixth in the 2019 250SX East Champion-
ship and 12th in the 250MX outdoor championship.
McElrath, on the other hand, is leaving the TLD Team, of which he has been a member ever since turn-
ing pro in 2013, for the Monster Energy/Star Racing Team.
McElrath posted on Instagram: Ask any wise man the importance of influence on the late teen and
early 20's age group. 7 years I've been alongside TLD as a team and as a brand, and the impact that
all the people I've got to work alongside with leaves me forever grateful for that time. There are too
many people to tag, and too many photos to choose from, but everyone on the team, everyone who
works at TLD HQ as well as TLD global, man I love you guys. God has been so good to us and to get
to work alongside you guys has shaped me as a young man, has shaped my career, as well as my fu-
ture. There will always be a place in my heart for all of you guys and thank you for being a brand that
never settles and always wants to provide "For the world's fastest racers." Peace and wheelies. CN
