ROAD RACE FIM NORTH AMERICAN ROAD RACING CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 10 / SEPTEMBER 20-22, 2019 BARBER MOTORSPORTS PARK / BIRMINGHAM, AL ABAMA P92 with 249 over Mesa at 174 and Gilbert with 138. Junior Cup The already-crowned Rocco Landers (Ninja400R.com/Norton Motorsports/Dr. Farr Ninja 400) was once again the dominant Junior Cup rider at Barber, taking year, and I think he would have been there at the end. I'm really grateful for the team behind me. My crew chief, Derek Keyes, he's been there basically three years now. I wouldn't be here without him. I just want to put it out to him, my family for always believ- ing in me. I feel bad for them. Sixteen years of dealing with me with racing. It's a dream come true to be here and win the cham- pionship this year, especially with the competition we had. Hope- fully, we have some good things planned out for next year." Race one's top five was rounded out by Ashton Yates (Vic Fasola Racing Yamaha) and Miles Thornton (Altus Motorsports Suzuki), while race two had Geoff May (Ameris Bank Kawasaki) in fourth from Thornton. The final title points have Lee two wins and hoisting his season tally to 14 race wins in the clos- est of the MotoAmerica classes, proving what a talent he is. Landers bested Dominic Doyle (Bartcon Racing Kawasaki) and Jackson Blackmon (Monkey- Moto/AGVSport/Blud Lubricants Kawasaki) in race one and Doyle and Benjamin Gloddy (Quarterley Racing/On Track Development Kawasaki) in race two. "I think I kind of had faster pace today," Landers said after race two. "I was just getting a little more consistent with my times. I saw a plus-one, and I was like, 'Stay consistent and see what we can do.' Then I had a two-second gap. I was like, 'Just maintain this.' I had a really good first lap. It was a really, really, re- ally fun race. Everyone was going super-fast. It's super rad for Ben [Gloddy] to get his first podium." The final title points race has Landers miles in front with 375 points ahead of Kevin Olmedo with 227 and Dallas Daniels third at 200. Rocco Landers won the Junior Cup yet again, putting his personal tally to 14 for the year.
