IN THE WIND P48 Three Riders Win at Oulton Park T he final round of the 2019 Brit- ish Superbike Championship regular season was held at Oulton Park, September 8-9 weekend, with Josh Brookes, Scott Red- ding and Tommy Bridewell sealing a clean sweep of wins for Ducati and the V4 R Panigale. The weekend also saw the formation of the final six riders for the Showdown, the three-round shootout that will decide the 2019 British Superbike Champion among Brookes, Redding, Bride- well, Kawasaki's Danny Buchan, Yamaha's Tarran Mackenzie and BMW's Peter Hickman. Oulton Park has been a happy hunting ground for Brookes in the past, and he added to his tally with the race-one victory and a close second to Redding but ahead of Bridewell in race two. The final race of the meet- ing looked to be another Brookes benefit until he crashed while comfortably leading at the midway point of the race, handing the lead to Bridewell, who had retired in race one with a mechanical failure. Heading into the Showdown, Brookes leads the series with 548 points to teammate Redding's 545, with Bridewell third at 524. Round 10 of 12 for the Brit- ish Superbike Championship is scheduled for this weekend at Assen in Holland, the only stop outside the UK for the series. CN Race One Race Two Race Three
