FLAT TRACK AMERICAN FL AT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 17/SEPTEMBER 7, 2019 WILLIAMS GROVE SPEEDWAY/MECHANICSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA P70 (Harley-Davidson Motor Compa- ny/Vance & Hines, Harley-David- son XGR750R) passed Halbert on the last lap for sixth. Carver finished just behind the Harley teammates with Larry Pegram posting yet another strong finish, barely holding off Brandon Robinson (Kennedy Racing/Arm- bruster Racing, Indian FTR750) for ninth. Consistent laps gave Briar Bau- man his fifth win of the 16 races run this year, but both Price and Davis have served notice they are poised to take the first victory of their young careers. "The success tonight comes from the team," said Bauman. "I was nervous in the pits earlier, and they got my spirits up. Bron- Price methodically reeled in Mees and made an inside pass going into turn one on lap seven. Mees made a couple of challeng- es, but the rookie stood tall and set his sights on Bauman. Just two laps later, another of the young lions that are finishing the season strong, Davis Fisher, sent Mees back to fourth. Halbert was holding onto fifth, but Rob Pearson (RJ Perfor- mance/Hite Trucking/Country Sa- loon, Indian FTR750) had worked his way up after starting lap one in eleventh. Pearson took over fifth on lap fifteen, and the top five positions were set. Mees made another charge late in the race but came up 0.3 of a second short.
