AMERICAN FL AT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP
ROUND 17/SEPTEMBER 7, 2019
WILLIAMS GROVE SPEEDWAY/MECHANICSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA
P74
Husqvarna FC 450), who were
tied for first in the AFT Singles
point standings entering this
week, began a battle that raged
all around the track for laps.
"Dan was running it on the
inside of me pretty much every
turn in those first couple of laps,
and I'd dive right back inside on
him and make it happen," said
Gauthier. "I kind of outsmarted
him, I think. He's making it tough
to win this championship, but I
think we've got the upper hand
right now. I've just been having
fun, and that's the main thing for
me to be fast and smooth."
Morgen Mischler (Waters
Autobody Racing/D&D Power-
sports, KTM 450 SX-F), Mikey
Rush (RMR Honda/Red Rider
Rewards, Honda CRF450R),
Cole Zabala (RMR Al Lamb Dal-
las Honda/Tucker Powersports,
Honda CRF450R) and Dallas
Daniels (Estenson Racing/Mon-
ster Energy, Yamaha YZ450R)
were all fighting over third.
Mischler had been riding a
high line all day, and it finally
came in for him. Bromley had
slipped just off Gauthier's pace
and was vulnerable to Mischler,
who was able to take second on
lap seven.
Gauthier was able to maintain
about a half-second lead for the
rest of the race over Mischler
as Bromley lost contact, fall-
ing over three seconds back.

"It was another solid night. It's hard to
be disappointed, but we had a podium
bike tonight," said Pearson. "I didn't get
a great start off the line. I ducked low in
one and two to see what I could do com-
ing off of two. I just felt something get
into my handlebar. Sammy [Halbert] must
have go en a good start from the back
row, and he clicked my bar, and that thing
went every direc on but straight going
down the back straightaway. It finally
straightened back out, but I think I had
myself buried at the very beginning. I told
Rick [Canode], the motorcycle is good. It
feels good to be able to run like that."
