ROAD RACE FIM NORTH AMERICAN ROAD RACING CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 8 / AUGUST 23-25, 2019 PITTRACE / WAMPUM, PITTSBURGH P86 It was a weekend of changing fortunes for his M4 Suzuki team, with series leader, and Kelly's teammate, Bobby Fong suffering a massive high-side crash on lap four while leading in race one, with the event red-flagged as a result. Supersport Sean Dylan Kelly (M4 ECSTAR Suzuki) finally announced his ar- rival in the MotoAmerica Supers- port Championship at Pittsburgh, as the 17-year-old star of the future took a double win, his first in MotoAmerica competition. IIIMY OWN RACE: 24 TONI ELIAS 3-1 SUPERBIKE "It's been the worst race of the year, talk- ing about rhythm, about being relaxed and not breathing," Toni Elias said a er race two. "It was so difficult. For the last five laps, I was behind Cameron. I was fol- lowing him, but today was good enough to win. I think if I was leading the race on the last lap with him, he could pass me easily any me he wanted. So, I've been lucky. Today I've been super lucky. We pass two difficult (tracks) for us—Sonoma and this one. But we win, so that's great. I didn't expect this. It's too early (in the championship). We keep the same advan- tage, so let's con nue like this." 40 SEAN DYLAN KELLY 1-1 SUPERSPORT "I can't believe how much pain he was dealing with," Sean Dylan Kelly said of teammate Bobby Fong at the end of race two. "I saw him yesterday a er his crash, and I saw this morning how much pain he was in. Just huge respect, dude, 100 percent. I'm glad that we were able to get the 1-2 for the M4 ECSTAR Suzuki team. Of course, I'm super pumped for myself and for my family and for every- one around me who helped me get this double-win weekend. It's s ll kind of hard to take it in. Obviously, I think tonight I'll be able to take it in a li le bit. I just hope Superbike Race One How close do you like it? This is the top five in race two, with Sean Dylan Kelly (40) only just getting the win over Bobby Fong (50).
