I rode behind him for a majority
of the race there and was able
to get by. What a win, and what
a year. What an awesome fin-
ish to the year."
Within a couple minutes of
Tomac passing Roczen, he also
lost a spot to Osborne, then
fought off Barcia for the rest of
the moto to finish third. Barcia
was fourth in front of Anderson,
Savatgy and Dean Wilson.
Tomac finished his third-
consecutive 450cc National

IIIMY OWN RACE:
Cooper said of his second moto. "It'd
be good for the confidence, but he was
riding good, and even though I caught
up to him, I didn't have a spot picked
out to pass him. We were both riding
good and pushing each other. It's good
to close out the season like this, on the
podium, and now it's me to go back
to work and prepare for probably the
biggest race of my life coming up. Go-
ing over there to represent my country.
Successfully. I can't wait for that."
clinched, it was a fun day,"
Tomac said. "But the mindset
was there to attack, so the first
lap there was chaos with the
crash with Marvin [Musquin],
and after that, Kenny [Roczen]
got by me right away. He's so
good on those first couple laps.
Ken Roczen ended up
second in the 450MX
Championship.
