FLAT TRACK AMERICAN FL AT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 14/AUGUST 17, 2019 PEORIA RACE PARK/PEORIA, ILLINOIS P78 Rispoli and Jacob Lehmann (Vince & Denise Holt/Ridemo- torsports, Honda CRF450R) led Sipes with current AFT Singles points leader Dalton Gauthier (D&D Cycles/Gobert Smash, Husqvarna FC 450), and Chad Cose (American Suzuki/Ritchie Reynolds, Suzuki RMZ 450) right behind. Just past halfway, Rispoli took third, as Janisch faded. Lehmann would also get by before Janisch rebounded. Daniels was over two seconds ahead of Bromley, as Rispoli, Lehmann and Janisch fought over third. Janisch was able to pick off one rider each of the last two laps. Even with a deflating rear tire, Rispoli was able to hold on to fourth over Lehmann. Gauthier IIIMY OWN RACE: 95 JD BEACH 3RD AFT TWINS "I had an idea of what Rob [Pearson] was going to do because he did the same pass on me, and he knew that was for third," said Beach. "Going into the last lap, I tried to stay close to Rob. When he got underneath, he pushed him up a li le bit, and I got it turned and just got a good run. It was a li le close, but it was fine. Earlier I got caught with lappers. They weren't being too smart today. They would let one guy by and get right back in line. On a track like this, it sucks, but it's racing." 27 ROB PEARSON 4TH AFT TWINS "I really thought I had a shot at third," said Rob Pearson. "I had some prob- lems when I took off for the warm-up lap. I kicked the bike into gear, and the thing just started going. I thought, 'Oh no, the clutch has one or two starts le .' I didn't really drag off that good and kind of tried to get into a rhythm. I tried to not get so out of shape that it wore me out. In the end, I thought I could get under Jared. I got a block pass on him, but I couldn't get it to turn a er that. JD did the same thing that I did to him. I figured I would do the same thing on the last lap, but I ran it in a li le hard. I just didn't get it turned. Once JD came under me, Sixteen-year-old Dallas Daniels won the Singles main.
