Briar Bauman made quick
work of taking over the lead, but
he could not shake his younger
brother. Bronson retook the lead
on lap six. The dueling brothers
were able to open a gap on Mees,
who was under attack from Beach
and Johnson. Jarod Vanderkooi
(Harley-Davidson Motor Com-
pany/Vance & Hines, Harley-Da-
vidson XG750R) slowly worked his
way into the mix, as he and Rob
Pearson (RJ Performance/Hite
Trucking/Country Saloon, Indian
FTR750) displaced Johnson.
Briar was able to regain the lead
on lap nine, this time opening up

fourth win of the 2019 American
Flat Track season.
The Indian Wrecking Crew led
by the day's fast qualifier, Bron-

FTR750) hit turn one of the 25-lap
AFT Twins main first. The Esten-

"We made a race of it. I told Bronson
that if he didn't get the holeshot,
he didn't want to get too racy with
anyone," said Briar Bauman. "You need
to save your energy for all 25 laps. All
of a sudden, Bronson got the holeshot,
and I'm racing with him. I was wonder-
ing if he was going to listen. He rode
awesome. We had a good ba le. I had
quite a few mishaps on the first few
laps. I actually was a li le nervous. It
was just a weird vibe. Luckily we got
a good clear track a er a while. I was
Briar Bauman (14) and his brother, Bronson (37), entertained
the crowd with a good battle for the lead.
