Russell Clinches 2019 Sprint Enduro
Championship In Georgia
O
f all the off-road series in the
United States today, none
puts as much emphasis on all-out
speed than the Kenda Full Gas
Sprint Enduro Series. Forget pac-
ing yourself. Forget strategy. The
Kenda Full Gas Sprint Enduro Se-
ries is all about the fastest rider
from point A to point B.
No one has exhibited as much
sheer speed in 2019 as Kailub
Russell. The stopwatch doesn't
lie.
The FMF/KTM rider claimed
his sixth win of this year's sea-
son at the Rockcrusher Full Gas
Sprint Enduro, August 10-11, for
round seven of the Kenda Full
Gas Sprint Enduro Series at
Rock Crusher Farms in Young
Harris, Georgia. And by doing so,
Russell clinched the series title
with one round remaining on the
schedule.
In all, Russell won seven of the
12 tests throughout the two-day
event and topped runner-up Thad
Duvall by 31-seconds for the vic-
tory.
"It's always nice to wrap up a
championship a race early, which
kind of takes the pressure off,"
said Russell. "This series is a
different mindset. I enjoy doing
these because it's five to nine
minutes at a time. You get to take
a break and relax, where GNCC
is just brutal on your body, physi-
cally and mentally; it's more of the
long haul. But at these, you go all
out for the entire distance, but it's
a lot of shorter races. I enjoy that
aspect of it. I do a lot of moto and
that kind of translates from that to
this."
