Blazusiak Returns To AMA EnduroCross
K
TM says that Taddy Blazusiak will be back in the USA to compete in the 2019 AMA
EnduroCross Championship. The five-time AMA EnduroCross champion last com-
peted in the full series in 2014 before a short retirement. He made a comeback in 2016,
but that season ended early due to an injury. Blazusiak has continued to compete in
the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship and has won several races and been in
contention for the championship the last couple of seasons.
Blazusiak will be KTM's lone rider in the series. Former champ Cody Webb is recov-
ering from a knee injury and isn't expected to race again until next year.
"I am really motivated to come back to the U.S. and fight for another title there," Blazusiak said. "I
am really looking forward to the new EnduroCross format being similar to the FIM SuperEnduro World
Championship because it's something that I am obviously very comfortable with."
The Pro (Super EnduroX) class will use a three-moto format similar to the FIM SuperEnduro World
Championship with a double-row start and 16 riders.
The three-round AMA-sanctioned series is set to begin August 24 at the Findlay Toyota Center in
Prescott Valley, Arizona. The series then heads to the National Western Center in Denver, Colorado,
October 19, before wrapping up in Boise, Idaho at the Ford Idaho Center, October 26. CN
