Dovizioso laid on a Spielberg
thriller in Austria. And for a
fourth straight year, in a long battle cli-
maxing in a last-corner shootout, it was
Ducati that took the academy award.
The twist to the plot was a reverse mir-
ror image of last year's cliffhanger at
the Red Bull Ring.
In 2018, Marquez had pounced
on Dovi, only to run wide and cede
the win.
This year, it was Dovi who took the
inside dive, and he made it stick.
The Mission Winnow Ducati rider
hadn't won a race since the opening
round in Qatar, as Repsol Honda's
Marquez made hay with the champion-
ship, taking wins and second places.
At the deceptively simple drag-strip/
hard-braking track outside Spielberg,
the fastest of the year, the pair spent
