The Monster Energy/Yamalube/Star
Racing Yamaha team went 1-2-3-4
off the start of the first 250MX moto
at Washougal, and Justin Cooper
took the early lead over teammate
Ferrandis, while Monster Energy/
Pro Circuit Kawasaki's points leader
Adam Cianciarulo slotted into third
at the end of the opening lap. Just
as Cianciarulo was starting to make
a push toward the front, he fell, and
that gave the top two just enough of
a gap that Cianciarulo never could
make up.
Ferrandis went by Cooper around
the same time that Cianciarulo fell,
and he led the rest of the moto over
Cooper, Cianciarulo, Geico Honda's
Chase Sexton, another Star Yamaha
rider, Colt Nichols, TLD/Red Bull
250MX
Dylan Ferrandis was on
form in the 250MX class,
winning both motos.
