ike the 2020 Beta RR-S four-strokes, the
RR two-strokes get major overhauls. But
the big news here is counter balancers
have found their way onto the RR 250 and
300. Counter balancers go a long way in re-
ducing engine vibration and improving power
delivery.
The 250 gets a redesigned cylinder head to
improve torque at low rpm.
The RR 125 gets a handful of updates. It
has a new cylinder, exhaust flange, exhaust
valve system and new boosters, a new clutch
cover, and a new exhaust pipe. Beta claims
the 125 RR has improved torque at low rpm
with greater power at high revs.
All models have larger capacity fuel
tanks—2.4 gallons for the four-strokes and
2.55 gallons for the two-strokes. Other chang-
es (to all models) include wider handlebars,
side stands with a bigger foot pad, new foot-
pegs, chain guide, brake pedal, seat, license
plate bracket, new map switch, redesigned
skid plate and new frame protectors. There
are plenty other smaller changes, as well. CN
