Cipala Tops Winsconsin Motoclimb;
Sipes Scores Class Win
L
ogan Cipala, of Ellsworth,
Wisconsin, won the second
round of the IRC Motoclimb Su-
per Series in Bay City, Wiscon-
sin, July 20-21, going against
Red Bull KTM's Ryan Sipes and
other top riders in the series.
The Valley Springs MC pre-
pared a challenging 500-foot hill
that had technical rhythm and
various routes for each class. Ci-
pala ended up winning the Open
category, with a blazing fast
13.434-second run aboard his
Buell 1190R and placed second
against Sipes in the 450 main.
Ryan Sipes, filming for Red
Bull's "General Sipes" web
series, started the day off strong
by winning the 450 qualifier
with a 17.631-second run, riding
a KTM 450 SX-F with Xtnded
swingarm extensions. After the
top 32 qualifiers were placed
in the 450 main bracket, Sipes
met Cipala in the finals and
barely edged him out in the last
100 feet of the hill.
Harold Waddell and Austin
Teyler finished second and
third, respectively, both on the
podium in the Open class, but
struggling in the 450 main.
Cipala is the series points
leader going into round three at
the world-famous Poags Hole,
August 18, in Dansville, NY.
