T
he beautiful Weedsport Speedway hosted
round nine of the 2019 American Flat Track
season. The high banked, odd shaped,
quarter mile offered multiple racing lines and tight
action throughout most of the night.
Briar Bauman (Indian Motorcycle/Progressive
Insurance, Indian FTR750) was looking to bounce
back after a bizarre mechanical failure at the last
race in Lima, Ohio, and he did so in a big way.
Bauman was fast qualifier, fast semi winner, and
sat on the pole for the 30-lap main event.
Bronson Bauman (Indian Motorcycle/Progres-
sive Insurance, Indian FTR750) got the holeshot
as the 16 riders hit turn one, only to have brother
Briar slip up the inside for a temporary lead. Jef-
frey Carver (Roof Systems of Dallas, TX/Indian
of Metro Milwaukee, Indian FTR750) went even
