tion. Always it's him. Always it's Cam
[Beaubier]. When Cam is there, he's
right behind me."
Beaubier was third for the second
day in a row after controlling most of
practice and qualifying.
"Yeah, that was a tough one,"
Beaubier said. "That was a tough pill
to swallow. Yesterday was a pretty
frustrating race. Last night we went
over some stuff. I made some good
changes. I was feeling really confi-
dent, really good going into today's
race. Just didn't pan out like I wanted
to. Hats off to my teammate, Garrett.
He rode incredible. I know exactly
how that feels.
Rounding out the top five in race
two was Herrin and Beach, who
completed his marathon event of
two MotoAmerica Superbike races
and three WorldSBK events on his
Estensen Yamaha.
In the series, Elias leads with 246
points ahead of Beaubier's 207 with
the next round scheduled for August
10-11 at Sonoma.
Supersport
The single race in the Supersport
class turned out to be a great one
for Bobby Fong (M4 Ecstar Suzuki),
as the Californian took the race win
while chief title rival Hayden Gil-
lim (Rickdiculous Racing Yamaha)
crashed out at turn six while trying to
hunt him down.
Gillim's crash had severe champi-
onship implications for the Kentucky
rider, as he now drops 18 points
behind Fong in the championship
chase.
"On my pit board, I saw plus zero,"
Rocco Landers
(97) leads into turn
two on lap one of
the Junior Cup.
Then he pulled a
disappearing act.
