IN THE WIND P36 2020 Monster Energy Supercross Scheduled Announced F eld Entertainment, the organizers of the Monster Energy Supercross Champi- onship, announced the 2020 schedule, and there are a few notable changes. The first being the location of round two, which will now be held in St. Louis, Missouri, and sandwiched in between rounds one and three in Anaheim, Cali- fornia. It will be a tight and busy couple of weeks for the team drivers. The other surprise change is the location of the final round. For the first time in 23 years, Las Vegas will not host the grand finale, which will instead be held in Salt Lake City. Las Vegas, however, will be the penultimate stop on the schedule. "Our goal is the continued growth of the sport and rotating markets every couple of years, expanding Supercross Futures events, and moving the finale to a new location helps keep the series fresh and exciting for the fans, as well as for the race teams and athletes," said Todd Jendro, Vice President of Operations - Motorsports, Feld Entertainment. "Utah has be- come synonymous with elite, world-class sporting events, and we thought hosting the finale in Salt Lake City would be a fitting choice." "Utah has a long history of hosting Supercross events and other major international sport- ing events, including the Olympic Winter Games," said Utah Sports Commission President and CEO Jeff Robbins. "The season finale will be one of the biggest sporting events ever held in Utah, driving tremendous economic impact and media value to our great state. We are excited to welcome back the top riders in the world and their terrific fans to Utah." Returning venues include St. Louis, Tampa and Foxborough. Off the roster from last year includes Nashville, Houston, Min- neapolis and East Rutherford.
