Then came Webb with a 3-5 and Roczen with a 6-3. "The last couple weeks have been a little bit rough, so I was looking for some momentum here, and that was a good start there," Tomac said. "I've been feeling good all day, like all my lines, but practice didn't show in the times. But I knew where I was at, and that I was feeling good, so that's how we wanted to start." In the championship chase, Tomac pulled ahead another sev- en points from Musquin to lead the Frenchman by 34 points with five rounds (10 motos) left to run. out of moto one with technical problems. Roczen was quickly into the lead, and he held the point until about halfway when he came under attack by Musquin, who passed the German racer and sped away with the moto win. It wasn't long before Roczen came under attack from Tomac, too, and the defending champ finally found his way by with one lap to go to take second in the moto. Roczen was third. Fourth went to Anderson over Webb, Bogle, Wilson (in his first race back from injury during super- cross), Bloss, Baggett, Barcia, Plessinger, and the rest of the field. Tomac took the overall with a HRC's Ken Roczen, and Bogle's teammate Blake Baggett in the closing laps to grab the spot. Baggett was fifth, and Roczen was sixth after momentarily slow- ing down and throwing up inside his helmet while he was pres- suring Bogle for fourth. Musquin was, again, seventh over JGR/ Yoshimura Suzuki's Freddie Noren, Bogle's teammate Benny Bloss, privateer Honda racer Henry Miller, Monster Energy Yamaha's Aaron Plessinger, and Anderson's teammate Dean Wilson. Baggett got the start in moto two over Roczen, Musquin, Bogle, Anderson, Webb, Tomac and Joey Savatgy, who dropped 25 MARVIN MUSQUIN 3RD 450MX (7-1) Marvin Musquin still landed on the podium after his first-moto crash. "It feels so good," Musquin said. "I'm so glad I ended the day like that, because I started the day well in practice, and my riding was good all day, but I ended up on the ground in the first lap of the first moto. I was stuck under my bike just waiting for someone to help me. There was nothing I could do. It felt like forever. And I came back to seventh, and that's all I had. It's happened a couple times already this year, crashing on the first lap, so that was not a good start to the day. But it feels so good to win a moto and riding like I was riding. At one point, when I got into a comfortable lead, I was just looking behind, and I saw Eli, and I started pushing because I didn't want him to catch me. On the last lap, I was cruising, so it was awesome. It feels good." 2 COOPER WEBB 4TH 450MX (3-5) Cooper Webb qualified first for the first time ever outdoors at RedBud, and he had a solid couple of motos, despite a costly stall in moto one. "RedBud was a step in the right direction for me," Webb said. "Practice went really well, I was able to qualify first for the first time ever in outdoors. To go 3-5 for fourth overall is all right. I wish I would have been a little bit better in the second moto, but so far, it's the best day yet and we'll keep plugging away to try and get better for Millville." 94 KEN ROCZEN 5TH 450MX (6-3) Ken Roczen has been having a really rough time the last couple of races, and although it continued somewhat at RedBud, it was much better. "Obviously, I haven't been myself, but I go out there every weekend, just like last weekend, and I don't want to leave anything on the table," Roczen said. "There was a little bit of tough luck in the first moto; I threw up with about five minutes to go, so I had to really slow down and get it out, and then keep going. But the second moto, I was just going to go out there and leave nothing on the table, wherever that puts me."
