T
here's no doubt that Red Bull KTM's Marvin Musquin got off
to a slow start to the 2019 Lucas Oil AMA National Motocross
Championships, due in large part to a big crash during prac-
tice at the Hangtown series opener, but he's put up one heck of a
fight since then, finishing on the podium in 7 of the 10 motos since
Hangtown, including overall wins at the two most demanding races of
the series so far. And coupled with a trio of poor performances from
Honda's Ken Roczen over the last three motos—likely having to do
with the mystery illness he's been suffering from for months—Musquin
has now moved into second in the 2019 450 class points standings.
Still, he's 26 points behind defending champ Eli Tomac.
