Russell Rages at West Hare Scramble

week after putting in a strong
run to an eventual fourth
place at the GNCC in West Virgin-
ia, AmPro/FMF Yamaha's Ricky
Russell popped back for a quick
visit to his native Washington to
attend a good friend's wedding.
And despite a somewhat long
Saturday celebrating at said wed-
ding, he managed to put in a solid
two and a half hours on an eight-
mile course at the Hannegan
Speedway aboard his YZ450FX.
Leading nearly from start to fin-
ish, his only foray into the series
resulted in an uncontested victory
at the 3rd Annual Toasted Hare

Ricky Russell dropped
into the Toasted Hare
Scramble and ran away
from the field, serving
notice that he's back up
to speed after his leg
injury earlier this year.
