Johnson was also able to get by Wiles, but only for one lap. By that time the Bauman brothers were checking out. Despite not having a lot of experience leading AFT Twin main events, Bronson rode a flawless race. "Holy cow, it was a long 25 laps, especially with all the restarts," said Bronson. Wiles was able to take the lead on lap three, but the red lights came on as Dalton Winkler crashed exiting turn two. He was able to make the restart from the tail end of the field. Scoring reverted back one lap, and Bronson led the restart off the line. Wiles held second, but Briar Bauman charged all the way into third. Halbert, Carver, Bryan Smith (Crosley Brands/Howerton Motorsports, Kawasaki Ninja 650), Johnson and Mees were fighting over fourth.
