VOLUME 56 ISSUE 24 JUNE 18, 2019 P59
last year's winner Marvin Musquin
ended up fourth despite starting
outside the top 10. Zach Osborne
made a late-race pass on Roczen
for fifth, and Roczen ended up
sixth, just in front of Webb and
Joey Savatgy. Then came Justin
[Webb], and we were battling,"
said Anderson, "and, man, when
I passed him, I got so squirrelly
down that hill! But all-in-all, I was
kind of bummed I wasn't able to
make a charge on Blake.
Tomac ended up third, while
prior, as he recovered from
knee surgery. Justin Bogle
was signed to the team as a fill-
in for Bloss. Bloss rode solidly
in his first race back, going
14-9 for 12th overall.
TLD SHUFFLE
The TLD/Red Bull KTM
squad lost two more of its rid-
ers before High Point. Jordon
Smith announced he was
going to get wrist surgery to
repair an injury from super-
cross, and Shane McElrath
also missed High Point after a
big crash earlier in the week
that the team indicated had
left him "shaken up." The
team is hopeful that McElrath
will be back for round five in
Florida, but with Mitchell Falk
and Sean Cantrell both already
out, the team was down to
Aussie fill-in racer Wilson
Todd, Smith and McElrath.
Losing those two left their
race-by-race fill-in, Todd,
as the only racer under the
awning, so the team signed
Cameron McAdoo for the
remainder of the 2019 out-
door championship. McAdoo
raced as a fill-in for his former
full-time team, Geico Honda,
during the AMA Supercross
series, finishing fifth in the
250SX West points standings
and finishing on the podium
at the Las Vegas East/West
Shootout, and he was impres-
sive at High Point, going 8-7
for seventh overall.
Briefly...
Blake Baggett (4) ran off with the first 450MX moto
win. He crashed in the second moto.
Jason Anderson finished out the day
on the podium, which included a
second-place finish in moto one.
