F.C.C. TSR Honda France Wins 8 Hours of
Oschersleben

.C.C. TSR Honda France (Josh
Hook, Mike Di Meglio, Freddy
Foray) took a close one-lap victory
in the 2019 8 Hours of Oschersle-
ben, held in Germany, June 8-9.
The reigning Endurance World
Champions finished ahead of
Team SRC Kawasaki France
(Jérémy Guarnoni, David Checa
and Erwan Nigon) VRD Igol Pier-
ret Expériences Yamaha (Florian
Alt, Florian Marino and Xavier
Siméon). Team SRC Kawasaki
now takes a five-point lead into
the title decider at the Suzuka 8
Hours in Japan on July 26-28.
F.C.C. was in a race-long
battle with the factory Yamaha
of the Yamaha Austrian Racing
Team until YART's motor blew
with just over one hour remain-
ing, the ensuring oil on the track
also causing the then-fourth
placed Honda Endurance Racing
Team to crash out, all of which
elevated privateer team VRD Igol
Pierret Expériences Yamaha onto
the podium.
Fourth at Oschersleben and
first Superstock team went to
the Moto Ain squad of Roberto
Rolfo, Robin Mulhauser and
Stefan Hill, securing the win
over Wójcik Racing Team 2 and
BMRT 3D Maccio Racing. More-
over, the German race victory for
Moto Ain ensured they clinched
the 2019 FIM Endurance World
Cup title (for Superstock machine
and separate from the Endur-
ance World Championship). CN
Covington Diagnosed With Epstein-Barr

he mystery has been solved. Ever since the start of the 2019 Lucas
Oil Pro Motocross Championship last month, Thomas Covington, the
former MX2 Grand Prix racer, has posted less-than-stellar results in the
250MX class in the States. Turns out, the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna
Team rider has the dreaded Epstein-Barr virus. He made the announce-
ment via Instagram:
Sorry I've been silent to everyone as to what's been going on the
last few weeks. After seeing the doctor and having tests done this
week, I've been diagnosed with Epstein-Barr virus. I've been super
tired and lacking strength for around a month now and really hit a
wall last weekend in Colorado. That's when I knew something had to
be wrong. Doing everything I can now to be back to myself as soon
as possible. Thanks to everyone's continued support and a huge
thank you to @rockstarhusky for helping me through this. CN
