CN III VOICES W H A T Y O U A R E S A Y I N G P6 Thunder Mountain MX Great to see Roczen back on form, along with Adam Ciancia- rulo in the 250 class. Injuries not only change the physical part of someone's racing, but the mental aspect is not as easy to quantify. It is, however, a very important fac- tor that must be difficult to just forget and put behind you. Funny how stick-and-ball sport athletes are celebrated and commended for overcom- ing injuries, yet the potential career-ending injuries that our heroes endure and come back from go unrecognized, except by enthusiasts like all of us. My utmost respect and admiration go to all those true athletes that race two wheels, dirt and tarmac, and to those that passionately support this physically challenging form of competition. John A. Stockman Woosh, Woosh… I've been a subscriber since about 1975 and am still grateful you guys are still publishing. In regards to electric vehicle racing, in the 1950s and 1960s our family would be part of the 500,000-strong throng that would go to lake Washington to watch the unlimited hydroplane races. Imagine six or seven un- muffled Allison and Rolls Merlin V-12-powered boats side by side at 170 mph. Now they are turbine pow- ered and sound like wooosh, wooosh, wooosh. The crowds have dwindled to just a shadow of what they once were. In regards to Stephen F's "don't believe science" state- ment: Sounds like it's making "science" a belief system. Empirical evidence and the scientific method are what "science" is supposed to be about, not a consensus of "sci- entists" with a political agenda. John Holton In The Paddock: The Lorenzo Sanction I've never had a problem with Jorge Lorenzo, and I do believe he will win before the year is out. All it takes is for Honda to make the changes that allow him to feel confident on the bike, and he will go to the front. Al Banta An ant can lift up to 5000 times greater than its own weight. Don't count little Jorge out so "fast." Gary Ritts "Injuries not only change the physical part of someone's racing, but the mental aspect is not as easy to quantify."
