FLAT TRACK AMERICAN FLAT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 6/JUNE 2, 2019 THE RED MILE/LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY P70 On the last lap, Bauman made a move on the outside as the pair drafted to the finish line. Mees held on to win by .056 seconds. Smith was 1.1 seconds off the leader with Vanderkuur only two-tenths of a second behind Smith. Wiles was a lonely fifth well ahead of an equally lonesome Davis Fisher (Bob Lanphere Beaverton Motorcycles/Dick Wall 60, Indian FTR750). Bron- son Bauman, Rob Pearson, and Jake Johnson finished in a tight pack for seventh, as Jef- frey Carver filled out the top 10. AFT Pro Singles The 15-lap AFT Singles main event (round seven of the Sin- gles Championship) was the barnburner everyone was ex- pecting, as Shayna Texter (Red Bryan Smith (4) took third but he wanted the win. Bull KTM Factory Racing/Roof Systems, KTM 450 SX-F), Mikey Rush (RMR Honda/Red Riders Rewards, Honda CRF450R) and Dalton Gauthier (D&D Cycles/ Gobert Smash, Husqvarna FC 450) battled for the lead. Texter and Rush exchanged the lead several times with Gauthier sneaking into second on lap five, only to be dropped back to third almost immediately. With only a hand full of laps left, Gauthier lost the draft and was engulfed by the war over fourth that became a war over third between Ryan Wells (Estenson Racing/Monster Energy, Yamaha YZ450F), Tristan Avery Mees and Briar Bauman (14) went at it right down to the wire.
