Spanish Dirt Track Champion Ferran Cardus (Bullet Strong Racing/Vanilla Cycles, Honda CRF450R) worked his way through the field and posted a career-best AFT Singles finish with a fourth. Cardus was just able to hold off the fast-closing Chad Cose (Parkinson Brothers Racing/Ritchie Reynolds, Honda CRF450R). Cole Zabala (Honda CRF450R), Max Whale (Kawasaki KX450F), Andrew Luker (Kawa- saki KX450F), Michael Inderbitzin (Honda CRF450R) and Ben Lowe (Honda CRF450R) finished in a pack just behind. RAIN OUT II For the second time in a row, a round of the AFT Championship (at least in the Twins class) has been rained out/postponed. Last week it was the Sacramento Mile, this week the Springfield Mile. The 2019 Springfield Mile I has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 31, 2019. The rescheduled event will provide fans with an American Flat Track doubleheader on Labor Day weekend, as the 2019 Spring- field Mile II will take place the following day on Sunday, Septem- ber 1, 2019. All tickets purchased for this last weekend's event will be honored at the rescheduled event on Saturday, August 31. Rush ended up getting the job done.
