VOL. 56 ISSUE 21 MAY 28, 2019 P65
K
TM is bringing back its
full line of XCF-W mod-
els for 2020. You might
recall KTM recently giving the
off-road-only "W" range the
axe in favor of the street-legal
EXC-F dual-sport models—the
250, 350 and 500 EXC-Fs.
KTM's philosophy was that
the EXC-Fs could hold their
own as the company's flag-
ship trail-riding models that
could be ridden both on the
pavement (legally) and on the
dirt. Evidently, that philoso-
phy has changed.
The 2020 XCF-W "enduro"
range is back and made up
of five models, three two-
strokes—150 XC-W TPi,
250 XC-W TPi, and 300
XC-W TPi—and two four-
strokes—350 XCF-W and
500 XCF-W. All of the two-
stroke models are fuel-inject-
ed; yes, even the 150!
KTM says the new Ws
feature updated high-perfor-
mance engines, new chassis
with improved WP XPLOR
suspension, and improved
handling. They also get new
bodywork, new air filter
boxes, new cooling systems,
and new exhaust systems.
Returning items include
Neken handlebars, Brembo
brakes, No-Dirt footpegs, and
CNC-milled hubs with Giant
rims.
KTM says we will start
seeing these bikes show up
in the North American market
this summer. CN
