2019 AMA EnduroCross Championship
Canceled; New Indoor Off-Road
Championship On Its Way?

he AMA recently announced
that the 2019 AMA Enduro-
Cross Championship has been
canceled.
Following the 2018 season,
the Bonnier Corporation which
owned the rights to EnduroCross,
made an agreement to sell En-
duroCross to a new promotions
group, the Kent, Washington-
based WHR Motorsports, which
was unable to secure sponsor-
ship and funds needed to pro-
ceed with what was supposed
to have been a seven-round
championship series in 2019 and
scheduled to get underway July 6
in Idaho.
WHR Motorsports is known for
promoting arenacross, supermo-
to and monster truck events.
The AMA release reads: The
American Motorcyclist Associa-
tion has been informed by the
series promoter that there will
be no national championship-
level EnduroCross racing in
2019.
The promoter, WHR Motors-
ports, informed the AMA that,
due to unforeseen circumstanc-
es, the 2019 series has been
canceled.
