Peick Undergoes
More Surgery
W
eston Peick, who suffered facial injuries last
December at the Paris Supercross, recently
had more surgery to his nose and eye.
The JGRMX/Yoshimura/Suzuki Team rider
reported on Instagram:
Surgery was a success 5 hours long, did full
nose reconstruction bone graft, rebuild my sep-
tum so I can finally breathe, rhinoplasty, septo-
plasty. Regarding my right eye they installed an
artificial tear duct so my eye can properly drain,
and also put another another plate behind my
eye to push it forward to match my good eye.
This has been one hell of a run. Thanks for all
the support and positive vibes.
Peick rode for the first time last month but still
struggled with his breathing and vision. He hopes
this latest surgery will have him back on the bike
again soon. No timetable has been set on a pos-
sible return to racing. CN
Weston Peick took
another big step
forward on his road
to healing.
