VOL. 50 ISSUE 8 FEBRUARY 26, 2013
was completely screwed on my recording options and I wouldnt be able to
relax on Sunday night and watch World
Superbikes while the rest of the family
was tied to the Academy Awards show
as planned.
I have a bit more time to research
my choices before round two comes
around, but live streaming may be my
(and others in the same boat) best and
only option. Many who didnt have beIN
Sports available on their TV watched it
via live streaming and they enjoyed it.
Commercial free. The only downside to
the streaming option is you either watch
it live or you miss it completely as the
races arent archived on the beIN Sport
website at least not yet.
Most of the responses weve gotten so far from those who did watch
the races on beIN Sport (both on TV
and through live streaming) have been
positive. In fact, a lot of our readers are
raving about it. You get full race coverage just like you do in Europe, a trick
on-screen ticker that showed you who
was running where, all the action from
Parc Ferme after the race, including interviews. And beIN Sports even aired
a pre-season World Superbike preview
show. So whats not to like?
So what started out as a pretty rough
weekend for us and a lot of our readers ended up with a fairly happy conclusion. We were able to start posting stories again on Sunday afternoon and one
way or another World Superbike fans
were able to watch the season opener
live from Australia on Saturday night. A
win-win.
