Great starts, and then he let the race come to him. He never panicked when guys passed him or were pressuring him. It seemed like he didn't feel any pressure while the other guys cracked. I thought it was more of a confidence thing than heart. When I watch him ride, it's like he already knows during the race that things will go his way. He bangs bars and rides physi- cal at times, and it always seems to work out for him. Ken Bateman Las Vegas Supercross KTM keeps rolling on with supercross championships and having two riders in the top three in the championship. Got to feel for Adam Ciancia- rulo; it was his championship to lose. And he did. Just like Austin Forkner. Devastating to Pro Circuit. Terry Heath You have to hand it to Cooper Webb and KTM. Webb used the Ryan Dungey "three-Bs" method of winning supercross titles—be fast, be smart and be patient. And it certainly helps to have a solid and proven team behind you. It was great to see all that emotion come pouring out of Dylan Ferrandis after he sewed up the 250SX West title, and you have to give Adam Cian- ciarulo kudos for the way he handled missing out on the title like that. He acts like a cham- pion even though he's never carried the number-one plate. It will happen, though. Overall, it was an excellent supercross season, but I have to wonder if supercross would be a good candidate for a series countdown-type thing like NAS- CAR does and how arenacross tried it the last couple of years. I never liked the idea before, but, you know, I'm willing to give it a try. It would guarantee more riders in title contention at the last round. But, then again, you'd probably see too many desperate take-out moves (like Osborne on Savatgy) when you have so much on the line in one race, unless the AMA really cracked down on stuff like that. Regardless, it was a great season of supercross races. Now, bring on the outdoors! Cannot wait. JC Connelly JD Beach: Upset Win? Define upset. Beach is one of, if not the best, American mo- torcycle racers on a great bike. Beach has been right at the front in MotoAmerica all season. Not only am I not surprised with this win, I am sure he'll be top step again this year and fight for the title. Good job, Jiggy. John Spangler "Upset" because one of the big money factory team riders didn't win? This is how it is supposed to be with any team with a good setup and rider in the hunt for the win. Well-prepped bike plus a great rider equals win, as it should. JD is red hot right now. Good on ya kid! Alex Rossborough It was a treat for me to throw the checkered flag on JD Beach's first of many superbike wins! Great job, Jiggy! Christian Scott Hubbard "Not only am I not surprised with this win, I am sure he'll be top step again this year and fight for the title." Dylan Ferrandis Cooper Webb
