He was really coming on that last lap." Defending AFT Singles cham- pion Dan Bromley (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing/Roof Systems, KTM 450 SX-F) overcame a bad start to finish fifth. Chad Cose (Parkinson Brothers Racing/Rich- ie Reynolds, Honda CRF450R), Frederickson and Andrew Luker (Keeran Racing/Baker Racing, Kawasaki KX450F) worked their way up to seventh and eighth, respectively. Ben Lowe (Roof Systems of Dallas, TX/Bruce Lowe Excavat- ing, Honda CRF450R and Jacob Lehmann (JMC Motorsports/ Vince & Denise Holt, Honda CRF450R) rounded out the top 10. Larry Pegram (Indian Motorcycles/S&S Cycles/Pe- gram Racing, Indian FTR750) filled out the top 10. AFT SINGLES The 15-lap AFT Singles main was pretty much a reenactment of the Daytona TT, as Jesse Janisch (Roof Systems of Dallas, TX/ Yamaha, Yamaha YZ450F) led every lap over Dalton Gauthier (D&D Cycles/Gobert Smash, Husqvarna CF450). Cole Frederickson (Vince & Denise Holt/Ride Motorsports, Honda CRF450R) and Ryan Sipes (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing. KTM 450 SX-F) held down third and fourth before be- ing displaced by Ryan Wells (Es- tenson Racing/Monster Energy, Yamaha YZ450F) and eventu- ally Mikey Rush (RMR Honda/ Red Rider Rewards, Honda CRF450R). Even though Janisch led every lap, he was under constant pres- sure by Gauthier, and his lead was rarely over half a second. Wells slipped back marginally and finished three seconds off the lead with Rush a solid fourth. "This race was so much about the start," Janisch said. "These guys were flying all day. I just tried running clean laps. [I got] off to a great start, and I was trying to watch the monitor, and I saw Dalton right on me, but they kept with the bike and team are jiving, and I expect us to get back on top after this rough weekend. We're going to keep working hard and continue to improve on these TTs." PODIUM FIRST For the first time since joining the Estenson Racing Team, Ryan Wells finished on the Singles podium. "It was a great night in Arizona," Wells said. "The season has started well below my expectations, so, al- though I felt I had the speed to win, it felt great to land on the podium. The whole team and especially my mechanic Nick Daniels have worked their tails off. These are the results we deserve and are capable of. I'm happy we are back on track and looking to build on it."
